New this fall! Our Level 3 & 4 Hybrid Class is designed for players who want to continue improving their skills through a higher-level training environment and the opportunity to train twice a week.
Please note:
Coach approval is required for Levels 3 and 4. Level 4 is intended for players who compete in off-Coast tournaments.
Level 3 and 4 players who register for two lessons per week (Tuesday and Thursday) will receive a 10% discount.
Level 3 players who plan to attend only one lesson per week should register for the Tuesday Level 3 class.
If you're not sure which level is the best fit for your child, please don't hesitate to contact me before registering. I'd be happy to check with the coaches and help you choose the most appropriate class.
For indoor tennis: Please also bring a separate pair of clean, indoor court/running shoes.

🎾 Free to the Public – Community Open Tennis Evening -Last Friday of each month, 5–8pm
The SRC Tennis Club has the only indoor tennis facility on the Coast and opens its doors to the community on the last Friday evening of each month. When there is a rare special event that pre-empts this, we offer a different 'Open Friday' for that month, advertised on our website.
No racquet? No worries! We have some you can borrow — just bring clean indoor sports shoes and your own refreshments. New to the Coast? New to tennis? Bring a friend and join our friendly, social tennis evenings — free for everyone!
Please note that the Club may occasionally host other events on the same day, so availability can vary. We recommend that you contact us in advance to confirm the next session. Please reach out to SRC Club Chairperson Tamara Jacobsen at chair@srctennis.ca.
We are a non-profit organization, managed and operated by its members who financed and built this great facility, along with the support of the District of Sechelt, BC.
Thanks to our members’ help and their ‘volunteer hours’, we’re able to ensure the smooth operation of the club. As a Community Tennis center we’re open for non-members too, so stay tuned for Open dates available to the entire Sunshine Coast tennis community. We are all about tennis! We play all year round! New members are very welcome!
Our Club is a Silver Member of Tennis BC - the official organizing body of tennis in BC whose main goal is to inspire and enable the growth of tennis throughout the province of British Columbia, Canada, together with Tennis Canada.
Please like and follow the SunCoast Racquet Club on Facebook and/or Instagram and stay tuned for updates about upcoming tournaments and events!
What’s on
There are Drop-In sessions, Open Play sessions, a variety of annual competitive Tournaments to test your skills (some for members only, others open to guests and non-members), plus social events offering LiveBall, Dingles, casual play, or short sets, and our regular 'last-Friday-of-the-month Open Social Tennis', where everyone is welcome to play tennis, bring an appy to share and whatever they'd like to drink and socialize afterwards in our updated lounge area.
Our TPA certified Sr. Coach Jacques Joyal, Jr. Coach Keith Lewis, and Instructors Daniela Jones and Kelly Pham provide lessons for adults and juniors of all ages and all levels, plus Adult Skills Clinics. We also have additional coaching support from off-Coast Tennis BC/Tennis Canada qualified instructors and community tennis assistants so there's plenty on offer.
We are proud to support a growing youth tennis program and a Youth Fund for young talent – please see our Youth Fund page.
In addition, the Paul Meyer Youth Tennis Endowment Fund is managed by the Suncoast Racquet Club and provides an annual scholarship for special young tennis players to support their development and entry into off-coast competition. Priority is given to youth who show dedication and potential who could benefit with off-Coast tournament costs. If you are interested in donating to this or the regular Youth Fund, or would like to find out how it can benefit someone you know, please contact our Chair at chair@srctennis.ca.
The Fund was set up in December 2021 by June and Ralph Meyer in memory of their son, Paul. Paul and his parents were keen tennis players and supporters of the Club. As an architect, Ralph was instrumental in helping to design our Club facility, so this Fund is a fitting legacy.
Health & Safety:
The Club operates in alignment with BC Public Health Orders.
Members may bring guests in accordance with our Guest player rules (including inviting Coast residents who are non-members to play twice a month for a $20 fee). Host members are fully responsible for their guests. All guests need to sign in and sign Waivers prior to play. Off-Coast non-member guests may play multiple times in a month during their visit with members.
No spectators are permitted on the courts. Our lounge area has a viewing area which allow parents, guardians, friends and families to watch safely and in comfortable surroundings.
