Memorial Tournament 2023 - Sunday November 18, 2023 

What a special day!  This competition is for members to celebrate the lives of past members who enjoyed playing tennis at SRC over the years and who gave so much towards the Club we know today!

Players competed strongly to become winners of this prestigious award and have their names engraved onto the Loretta Copping Plaque (for Women) and onto the Doug Lawson Memorial Plaque (for Men). This year’s tournament had a good entry of men and women competing for the Winner’s titles. 

The competition was fast and furious and was enjoyed throughout the day by spectators and participants alike.  This also included a delicious BBQ.  Thanks to all the helpers and players who made this a fine finish to the Club year.

2023 Triumphants on the day were –

Winners of the Loretta Copping Placque - Laurie Reid & Cielo Lyle-Shortt

Runners up were: Christina Schellenberg & Janet Schembri

Winners of the Doug Lawson Placque – Richard Brice & Friedl Brudermann

Runners up were – Greg Gehring & Ron Fremont

Well done everyone who took part to make this a great day’s tennis.

It was also great to see friends and family of those being celebrated at this event, so thank you for coming and making the day a special one.
