SSTA Tennis Spring Leagues 2026

The links to all spring leagues for 2026 are available below.  The leagues run from the week of April 6 to the week ending on June 26, 2026.

These links are the best source for the names and numbers of spares and  the current schedule, as mistakes are sometimes made and then updated here.

League schedules are also posted at the Tennis Centre in both shoe change rooms.

Notes:

  • The Fee for sparing is $11.25 for 1-1/2 hours of league play and $15 for 2 hours of league play. This fee is paid directly to the player whose match you are sparing for.
  • A few leagues have odd numbers of players and byes have been randomly assigned.  If you can’t make your match day, it is recommended that you first ask a member with a bye followed by members on the spare list.
  • The 4 plus Men’s League and the 3 plus Mixed Business League are two hour leagues with a unique playing structure to encourage player development and competition.
  • Several Leagues have two different time sections, be careful to note the time you play in these leagues.
  • At the bottom of the schedule is a discussion on the rating system used by SSTA. We are working on a proposal to introduce some competitive leagues next Fall which will require an independent rating from a qualified professional.

Open Leagues are open to all levels, if you are level 3.0 or above and wish to sign up to be with a friend, you should respect that these are developmental leagues.

Leagues with a designation at levels 3.0 and 3.5 are designed for competitive play for players of a similar level.  Higher levels can participate in these leagues, but they must respect the level of their opponents.

In Leagues identified as 3.0 plus or 4.0 plus, players can expect stronger players to sign up.  These leagues will be structured to allow for an enjoyable competitive experience for all participants.

Unsure of your eligibility for a rated league?, consult with us by emailing to:   SSTA.Tennis@saltspringtennis.ca and we will help assess your situation. If we are unsure, we will encourage you to sign up as a spare for the higher level.

If you are new to SSTA leagues and would like to talk to us about specific offerings, drop an email to: leagues@saltspringtennis.ca and we will give you a personal briefing.
