Court Booking Rules
When you book a court:
Using Clubspark:
- All players on the court must have an account on Clubspark and be listed in the booking.
- Court bookings must have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4 players on the court at any given time.
Tennis BC Hub reserves the right to cancel your booking without notice and with no refund if the name of ALL players is missing.
Court fees (starting from April 1st to October 1st):
- Weekdays:
$6/hour (tax incl.) -- 9 am to 3 pm
$10/hour (tax incl.) -- 3 pm to dusk - Weekends:
$12/hour (tax incl.)
Court fees must be paid at the time of booking for the booking to take effect.
Cancellation policy:
- No refund or credit is issued for any cancellation except weather conditions.
Rainout policy
- A full refund is issued when Tennis BC Hub@ Stanley Park cancels your booking due to poor weather conditions.
The Tennis BC Hub reserves the right to change your court or to cancel your booking if needed.
When you enter the court
- Do not enter your court sooner than your booked time even if the court is available.
- You must claim your court within 15 minutes of the start time.
- Only players listed in the booking are allowed to be on the court.
When you leave the court
- Stop playing 3 minutes before the end of your booking
- Leave the court promptly as an orderly group 1 minute before the end of your booking time.
- It is strictly forbidden to remain in court after your booking ends even if the court is available.
- Respect any matches/games that is in progress and leave the courts when a game has ended, or there is a suitable break in play.
- Place any garbage, ball tins, LIDS, grips, etc. in the garbage bins located on the court.
When you play:
Equipment:
- Tennis BC Hub allows 8 balls MAXIMUM per court at any one time (except Tennis BC Hub programs).
- Players needing a contained court have the priority to use court nets.
Behavior:
- Keep your voice down and confined to your court as much as possible.
- Abusive language or actions on the court directed towards other players and staff of the Tennis BC Hub will not be tolerated.
- Banging or hitting racquets or balls on the court or against the fence is prohibited.
- Set your phone to silent mode while on the court. the use of cell phones is strictly prohibited, don’t take or make any calls in court.
Clothing and footwear:
- Appropriate tennis attire is required.
- Non-marking tennis shoes must be worn on the court.
- It is strictly forbidden to change your clothes in court. The changing room is available!
Food & drink:
- Food is prohibited on the court except bananas and energy bars while sitting on the bench.
- All drinks must be contained and sealed to prevent spillage – No pop or coffee.
- No chewing gum & no spitting.
Coaching:
- External coaching is STRICTLY prohibited - Only Tennis BC Hub Coaching Staff are permitted to give on-court instruction – No exceptions.
Failure to comply with Tennis BC Hub playing rules may result in suspension of booking and playing privileges without prior notice.
