A warm welcome to a summer of tournament play at South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club, where the love for tennis converges with the beauty of tradition.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, our club takes pride in hosting three prestigious tournaments each year, including the longstanding Vancouver Island Grass Court Championship, celebrating its 138th year.

 

 

 

 


2026 Grass Court Classic

Date: Saturday June 27th to Tuesday June 30th 2026 (4 day tournament)

Hosted by SCLTC annually for all players with a Tennis BC memberships. This is a sanctioned tournament by Tennis BC (A full Tennis BC membership is required at registration).

 


2026 Kay Wilson Memorial Mixed Compass Event

Date: Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026

A very popular Kay Wilson Memorial Mixed Doubles Compass tournament is hosted annually, which brings out 32 on and off-island teams. This tournament is established in memory of Kay Wilson, a dedicated member of SCLTC and a former nationally ranked tennis player.

138th Vancouver Island Lawn Tennis ITF Masters - ITF MT 200 Sanctioned

Date: Wednesday, August 5th - Sunday, August 9th, 2026

An annual tradition since 1887, this tournament has been a cornerstone event for the club. The MT200 ITF tournament held last August was honoured with the 2024 Tournament Recognition Award, acknowledged by the ITF for exemplary player satisfaction and outstanding tournament delivery.

This tournament is an  ITF sanctioned MT200 Masters Tournament for 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+. Events include Men's and Women's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Singles and Doubles events are offered every 5 years and Mixed Doubles is offered every 10 years. 

It stands as a testament to the rich tradition of tennis and remains a focal point for tennis enthusiasts locally and beyond.
