Nestled in a picturesque setting, our club takes pride in hosting three prestigious tournaments each year, including the longstanding Vancouver Island Grass Court Championship, celebrating its 138th year.

2025 Kay Wilson Memorial Mixed Compass Event

A very popular Kay Wilson Memorial Mixed Doubles Compass tournament is hosted annually, which brings out 32 on and off-island teams. This tournament is established in memory of Kay Wilson, a dedicated member of SCLTC and a former nationally ranked tennis player.

138th Vancouver Island Lawn Tennis ITF Masters - ITF MT 200 Sanctioned

Date: Wednesday, August 6 to Sunday, August 10, 2025

An annual tournament hosted by SCLTC since 1887. As one of the oldest continuously run tennis clubs in the world, this tournament predates Wimbledon because it has not stopped even during the wars. In 1994, this tournament won an award from the USTA for the “best run sanctioned tournament”. 

This tournament is an  ITF sanctioned MT200 Masters Tournament for 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+.  Events offered include Men's and Women's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. It stands as a testament to the rich tradition of tennis and remains a focal point for tennis enthusiasts locally and beyond. 

(An ITF IPIN number is required for registration which is included in the registration fee)
