School Programs

Thanks to the generous grant from the Town of Caledon, we were able to provide 57 hours of tennis lessons at the Caledon Tennis Club supervised by instructors certified by the tennis professional's association (TPA Canada) during the 2025 season. This past May and June we saw students all the way from kindergarten up to Grade 8, with many classes being able to attend several times. Total student trips numbered over 300, so many students showed noticeable improvement due to the increase in visits this year.

All racquets and equipment were supplied by the club and the visits were scheduled so that they didn't interfere with any regular club programming or tournaments.

The club would also like to thank the amazing teachers at Caledon Central who joined their students on the courts both to lend a hand to the instructors and to try to keep their bragging rights for another year as the kids are developing their skills rapidly. The students and their teachers walked to the courts from the Caledon Central Public School - about 1 km each way.

This is a great program, that has introduced the sport and the local tennis club to hundreds of students who wouldn't have otherwise had such an opportunity to develop these skills. Tennis is a lifelong sport so whether these students continue throughout their academic life to play tennis or pick it up somewhere down the road they've learned the skills to play and develop new friendships anytime for the next 60+ years!
