The co-ed tennis ladder will rank players based on wins and losses in match play and will provide participants with the opportunity to meet and challenge other CTC members at similar levels of play.
And we will be crowning another CTC Tennis Ladder Champion at the end of the season, of course!
2025 season update:
- Ladder play will run from April 21 to September 7.
- Top ranked players will be automatically entered into the year end tournament that'll be played in September to determine our CTC Tennis Ladder Champions for the 2025 season.
- If you're interested in playing on the ladder, please REGISTER on or before April 18 to enter the ranking box.
- Any players registering after April 18 will still be added, of course, but their position within the ladder will be determined by the Ladder Director.
- The CTC Doubles Ladder will not be returning for 2025.
**New for 2025
Leap Frog Plus Concepts
This system is based on the classic Leap Frog system, but also awards additional points based on games won and lost. This rewards players with points regardless of the outcome, and encourages more play. Here is how it works:
If you play a best of 3 set match, there are 39 addition points awarded in addition to leaping (or not leaping). This is because 39 is the maximum number of games that could be played in a 3 set match (7-6, 6-7, 7-6). The loser always gets 1 point for each game they win, and the winner gets the rest.
Lets say player A is ranked #1 and has 200 points, and player B is ranked #5 and has 150 points. Here are two scenarios to help see what could happen:
1. If player A wins 6-1, 6-2, they would then have 236 points, and player B would have 153 points.
2. If player B wins 6-4, 6-3, they would then have 232 points, and player A would have 207 points.
