About Us

The St. Albert Tennis Club is right in the heart of the city of St. Albert, Alberta. Our four courts are sheltered by trees (and windscreens) and surrounded by the flowers maintained by our volunteers. From late April to late October, we have one of the nicest tennis environments to be found in western Canada. As you can see, we like to start our spring season early! Our clubhouse sports a full kitchen for events, table tennis and TV for rainy interludes and a plenty of "patio" space for BBQ's, post-game conversations and reconnecting with tennis friends.

St. Albert Tennis Club History

Lifetime honourary member, Gord Olsson, has produced a Club History. He wrote this to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the club in 2021. If you would like to read a pdf version of the book, it can be found here: St. Albert Tennis Club History.

From the Preface to the book:

"This didn’t start out to be a St Albert Tennis Club history. I had been taking pictures of Club events for
around 20 years. Pictures sitting in a file on my computer were of no use to anyone. So, in 2020, I
decided to compile a short photo-book containing stories of Club members and memorable events
illustrated by the pictures. Grant Jerace and Stephen Bouska suggested expanding it to be a complete
Club history and interviewing some longstanding Club members. The timing was right - Covid isolation
gave me lots of spare time to work on the project.
