Welcome Gordon Hughes Tennis Club Members to our 2026 season.
We are excited to have Heidi Harvie (Head Coach), Peter Gibson (Coach) and Jake Isnor (Assistant Coach) on staff.
We are thrilled to get you all enthused about our afternoon practice and play opportunity. In addition to the morning lessons, courts are open and supervised each day from 12:30 – 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, where everyone (adults and juniors) can show up to play matches, mini games, practice on the backboard, etc. If needed coaches will help you set up matches with other players. On hot days players can take breaks from the heat in our air-conditioned club house with options for cards or board games.
If court space is available, parents or caregivers, members or not, are encouraged to go out on court with their children to toss balls or hit with them, a great benefit when learning to play tennis.
Juniors 7 and older are welcome to stay without parents being on-site. Pick-up time must be no later than 3:30 pm.

Developing Competitive Play
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 to 2:30 pm two courts will be designated for players aspiring to become more competitive and-or play in tournaments. Peter Gibson will head this group; feel free to contact him regarding this opportunity.
Fun Day
Fun Day returns on Fridays from 10 am to 12 noon. This activity has been a highlight for our youth for years. All juniors are encouraged to come and have fun with team activities. Hot dogs and drinks are available; a contribution of $2.00 would be appreciated to help with the costs of this lunch.
Club Equipment
The club has a good selection of adult and junior racquets. There is a black book for sign out purposes on the table in the clubhouse. Feel free to sign out a racquet if you need one, or want to try one out.
