Greenwood Cup Tournament Registration
Welcome to the 2026 Greenwood Cup! 🎾
Set against the backdrop of beautiful Lake Okanagan, the Greenwood Cup offers a chance to enjoy great tennis in one of the most scenic settings in the region — where competitive rallies are matched only by the spectacular views.
This weekend is all about bringing people together through tennis; enjoy some friendly competition, meet other players, and share time on and off the court. Your entry fee covers more than just time on court — enjoy coffee and light snacks throughout the day to keep you fueled between matches, wrap or salad lunch from the Chopped Leaf, along with a hosted dinner and tournament prizes.
We aim to create a weekend that’s as enjoyable off the court as it is on—good tennis, good food, and great company.
A heartfelt thank you to the Dobi family for their many years of generous support to the Greenwood Cup - it is truly appreciated.

Match Format
Match formats will be tailored based on the number of teams to ensure a fun, fair, and well-paced tournament. Our goal is to guarantee a minimum of 3 matches.
This may include a round-robin stage followed by playoff matches, with formats such as shortened sets, no-ad scoring, or match tiebreaks used where appropriate.
Final details will be shared with players once registration is complete.
Scheduling
This is a full weekend event designed to give everyone plenty of time on court and a chance to connect with other members.
Please only register if you are available for the entire match window. Match times and locations will be assigned by the tournament organizers.
Format and rules, schedule and initial start times will be communicated to you by June 17th.
Venues
Matches may take place at two venues in Summerland. Teams should be prepared to play at any assigned venue.
We will aim to distribute matches across venues as evenly as possible.
Venues: Lakeshore Racquets Centre, 13607 Lakeshore Drive and Summerland Secondary School 9518 Main Street
Player Commitment
To help the tournament run smoothly for everyone, we ask that all players:
- Be available from Friday at 5:00 pm through Sunday at 5:00 pm
- Arrive on time and be ready to play at any venue
We will aim to distribute matches fairly across venues, but some variation may occur.
We understand that plans can occasionally change. Prior to draws being published, teams may request a partner substitution, subject to organizer approval. Once draws are published, we ask that both registered players participate in each match whenever possible. If a player becomes unavailable, substitutes are still welcome so the match can be enjoyed, although the result may be recorded as a forfeit and will not count toward tournament standings.
We love having family, friends, and furry fans come cheer everyone on! Children attending the tournament should remain supervised and in the care of their parent/guardian at all times, and pets are welcome too — as long as they stay leashed while enjoying the action.
Weather & Air Quality Policy ☁️
As an outdoor event, play will proceed whenever conditions are safe and courts remain playable. In the event of rain or other unsafe conditions, matches may be delayed, rescheduled, or adjusted at the discretion of the tournament organizers.
We are also mindful of extreme heat and air quality. If temperatures become excessively high, match formats may be adjusted, with additional rest and hydration breaks or scheduling shifts to cooler parts of the day. If wildfire smoke leads to poor air quality that could impact player health, play may be delayed, modified, or suspended as needed.
Players are expected to remain available throughout the tournament window in case adjustments are required.
We will communicate any changes as promptly as possible—and, as always, we’re hopeful for a weekend of clear skies, comfortably warm sunshine, and great tennis.
If the tournament cannot be completed as planned, results may be determined based on completed matches or a revised format.
Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations prior to 11:00 pm June 12, 2026 are subject to a $20 administrative fee to cover processing and event costs. No refunds after 11:00 pm June 12, 2026.
If the tournament is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund may be issued depending on expenses already incurred.
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact the tournament organizer as soon as possible.
