RULES
WHAT
- The FCTC House League is a great way to meet and play matches with other club members who are similarly skilled at mutually convenient times.
TEAMS
- 4 teams equally divided.
- Each team will have 4 lines.
FORMAT
- You will be assigned 1-2 matches to be played each calendar month.
- All matches are doubles.
- Arrange matches amongst yourselves that best suit your schedules using the contact information provided.
SCORING FORMATS
- Before starting the match, agree on a scoring format.
- Examples include:
REGULAR 3 TIE-BREAK SETS (90 TO 120 MINS)
- The first player/pair to win 6 games, with a margin of 2 games, wins that set.
- If the score reaches 6 games all, a 7-point tie-break game shall be played. The first player/pair to win 7 points with a margin of 2 points, wins the set.
- Player/pair needs to win 2 sets to win the match.
- A match tie-break (10-point) can be played in lieu of the 3rd set. Player/pair needs to win 10 points, by a margin of 2 points, to win the match.
ONE PRO-SET (45 MINS)
- The first player/pair to win 8 games, with a margin of 2 games, wins the match.
- If the scores reaches 7 games all, a 7-point tie-break game shall be played. First player/pair to win 7 points with a margin of 2 points, wins the match.
BALLS
- Both teams take 1 unopened can of tennis balls each.
- After the match, the Winner gets the unopened can, and the Loser gets the opened can.
