MARIETJIE BONTHUYS
Marietjie developed her love of tennis while growing up in South Africa, where she enjoyed playing with her father, sisters and friends. Those early experiences fostered a lifelong passion for the sport and the sense of community it creates.
Her coaching journey began at the Salmon Arm Tennis Club (SATC) in 2015. After completing her Tennis Canada Instructor Course at the North Vancouver Tennis Centre under the guidance of renowned Canadian coach Wayne Elderton, she continued to develop her coaching skills through mentorship with the late Doug Rawson at SATC.
Marietjie has organized and coached a wide range of programs, including Red/Orange/Green Junior development programs, Adult Starter Programs, School Try Tennis, Women's Clinics, Women's Team Tennis Leagues, Cardio Tennis and club tournaments.
Whether working with beginners picking up a racquet for the first time or helping players build confidence and improve their game, Marietjie is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging learning environment. She believes tennis should be challenging, rewarding, and above all, fun.

WINSTON PAIN
Winston coached 4 years at the All Canadian Tennis Academy under the guidance of Pierre Lamarche and the staff of Nationally Accredited coaches in London, Ontario in the the mid 1980's.
He has played competitive tennis for 50 years and has represented Canada at the World Senior Racketlon Team Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2011 at Milan.
He previously coached the Salmon Arm Senior Secondary Tennis Team and supports the coaching programs at the Salmon Arm Tennis Club.
He is an active certified coach (Instructor) and looks forward to working with players who are 3.0+ offering drill sessions, private and semi-private lessons.

SHANNON HECKER
Shannon grew up playing tennis with family and friends, and learned early that the game is about fun competition and community. Those experiences motivate Shannon to inspire others to discover the confidence, friendships and opportunities that tennis can create.
She loves seeing players of all ages thrive on and off the court, whether through one-on-one coaching or by working alongside other coaches to grow the game. Shannon has her Instructor Certification and is especially passionate about creating opportunities for girls to play by removing barriers, making tennis accessible and helping build a lifelong love for the sport.
If you have ever wanted to pick up a racquet and build skill quickly, Shannon will make it fun and rewarding!
