Using the ClubSpark Booking Module

With our new ClubSpark system now up and running, there are a few things to keep in mind when using the Booking System.

GUEST FEES

Out of Town Visitors and Guests of Members can pay a Guest Fee of $10. We encourage membership; the Guest Fee privilege is intended to be used responsibly.  Members are responsible to see that their guest fee is submitted .

The Booking Module

A booking for singles (2 names on the booking) can only be for 1 hour.

  • If nobody else has booked the following hour you can continue to play on that court, or you can move to another court (after sweeping) if the other court is available.

A booking for doubles (4 names on the booking) can be for 2 hours.

The member making the booking must add the names of all players. This can be done by clicking on the arrow to the far right of the words Add Participants.  There are only a few exceptions to this rule...

  1. If the singles player is practicing alone.  For example, serving practice or using a ball machine.
  2. If the member truly doesn't know who they're playing with at the time of the booking.
  3. If a court is booked for doubles and only 3 players are playing, then only 3 names will be listed on a doubles booking.  Examples of this would be if the group is playing Aussie Rules or Canadian Doubles, etc.
  4. A coaching group exceeds the possible amount of name inputs the ClubSpark Booking System allows.

Why does this not pull information from the membership module to see if they are a true member?

- ClubSpark has given several reasons for this relating to privacy and practicality.  They've tried to accomodate multiple ways a club is able to set up a booking sheet, even across diffferent countries with different laws.  One difficulty here is if the venue is open to guests, for privacy reasons you would not be able to allow guests to view members names. In addition, if a member chose another member to play this would come out of their court booking quota if a club has one.  ClubSpark brought in the feature so that the person booking is the default choice and the member would actively have to change this to 'member' if they were a true member or not.

Thank you for adhering to these rules. We have been able to fix problems as they occur. If you are experiencing issues booking courts, please contact us at quintetennisclub@gmail.com
