The Wolfville Tennis Club's second Junior Tennis Tournament was held on Saturday, August 16.

28 juniors from ages 7-15 participated in this year's tournament:

• 18 orange ball players divided into three groups, playing a set to 4 no-ad games
• 6 green ball players, playing a set to 5 no-ad games
• 4 yellow (regular) ball players, playing a full 6 game set

Matches began at 9 am and ran until about 3:30 pm, with a great deal of much-needed volunteer help from parents and club members who provided and prepared food, supervised matches, and kept track of all the matches and scores.

There was a great deal of high-quality tennis on display, and most importantly, great sportsmanship and comraderie among the juniors. Each of the five groups had a winner and a runner-up, who were awarded gift cards. Other prizes were given out by random draw.

A big thank you to all who played and made this event possible! We look forward to doing it again next year!
