Karl Vukobrat – Director of Operations, Tennis BC Hub
Karl has been teaching tennis for over 28 years. He is Canadian and is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He is married to his wife from Mauritius, where he most recently lived, and returns to Canada to settle down with his family after a 22-year absence, this time in Beautiful British Columbia!
Here are some of Karl's career highlights thus far:
- He has taught tennis and lived in over 17 different countries, on all 5 continents.
- He spent 18 years working with the worldwide leader in luxury resort & club tennis management, Peter Burwash International (PBI).
- His "niche" with PBI was opening up new programs (7 in total), most notably the 2,700-room, 9-court, 3-surface, Baha Mar Resort in 2017 (Nassau, Bahamas), and the Hyatt Regency Curacao which saw it's club participation go from 0-200 players per week, in under 2 years.
- He directed the tennis programs at two different Top 75 Tennis Resorts in the World, according to TennisResortsOnline.com, (Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico & Baha Mar, Bahamas).
- In 2015, he was named Vice-Professional of the Year, amongst 100 Tennis Professionals worldwide, with his previous organization.
- In 2014, he achieved "Elite Tennis Professional" status with the USPTA.
