Guidelines and Expectations

Respect the property and each other: during all sessions, classes and events put on by the Kentville Tennis Club, we ask that there be a spirit of respect, good sportsmanship, and fun.

• Please treat the courts, clubhouse and surrounding property with care and respect and do not leave garbage or personal items on the property after you leave.
• Members or others who exhibit bad or hostile behaviour will be asked to leave the courts.
• Foul language, loud music and harassing other players will not be tolerated.

Take care of yourself: as with any sport or physical activity, it is recommended that you seek the advice of your health care provider to ensure this program is safe for you and your family.

• You understand that there are inherent risks associated with this activity.  
• Both the Tennis Club and the Town of Kentville have done all we can to make this activity and the facilities as safe as possible.
• As a player on court, you need to take all reasonable efforts to ensure your own safety, and the safety of your family and other guests.

What should I wear: while we do not want to be too strict about dress codes while on court, we are part of a club and we think it is important to wear proper tennis attire.

• Men need to wear shirts at all times and women need to wear clothes that are appropriate for sporting activities.  No bathing suits are permitted.
• Please wear appropriate footwear.  Flip flops and sandals are not allowed while playing tennis.
