Parents/Guardians of Junior Players:
June is Tennis Month across Canada. In collaboration with Tennis Canada and Tennis Nova Scotia, Mahone Bay Tennis Club is excited to celebrate Tennis Month by hosting two events for children on Saturday, June 14th.
The first event is Rogers First Set Try Tennis from 10 – 11 am. This event is designed as a fun and engaging introduction to tennis for new players. It is geared for children aged 7-12. No previous experience is required, and all equipment will be provided as needed. This is a perfect opportunity for children to discover the joy of tennis and start their journey in the sport.
The second event is Rogers First Set Play Day from 11-12:00, which is designed as a "Welcome Back to Tennis" event. It is offered to get last years junior program participants (or children aged 7-12, with some experience) back on the courts and get them anticipating another summer of fun, fitness and knowledge on the courts.
We feel this is a great way to get the season underway, while focusing on the two goals of getting new juniors experiencing organized tennis for the first time, and also getting last year's junior program participants back on the courts.
With the summer tennis season upon us, we encourage your children (and you!) to have some fun on the courts! Come on over to Mahone Bay Tennis Club, grab a racquet, hit the court, and celebrate Tennis Month this June with us!

Please note, we will have on site registration for junior summer lessons and/or memberships for your convenience. Participating in the Try Tennis or Welcome Back does not obligate you to join nor do you need a membership to register for the events.

We are one of two clubs piloting a new system that is linked with Club Automation, and it should make it much easier to choose the right memberships and programs. Mahone Bay Tennis Club is driven by a team of passionate and committed volunteers from the region. They include seasoned players, parents of youth members, people fresh to the game and newcomers to the community. The range of ages, life experience and playing time all contribute to our positive, productive, inclusive and fun atmosphere. We are currently in desperate need of property maintainence volunteers, even a few hours per month.
