Construction of IQ Tennis and Pickleball Centre begins, this week in sunny Meadowlark!!

Actually, this week (May 8 - 15)  the demolition begins -- but our construction timeline is well on schedule. Our excavator with Dynamic Excavation is pulling up the weathered, twenty-five foot light fixtures by their roots, as well as the old ten-foot chain link fence that surrounded the courts. We will be re-using the LED lights, and all fencing and other materials that can be recycled, will be. Also, with construction fencing installed and Urban Forestry as consultant, each tree on site is protected, as per the City of Edmonton's guidelines.

. . . Speaking of community members, this morning I spotted a coyote on the north side of the courts, cutting through the soccer field - I didn't think fast enough to catch a picture, though. Keep a look out!
