History
The tennis courts at Curran Hall Park Tennis club opened on August 1st, 1967. The clubhouse opened almost 5 years later, on June 23rd, 1972.
A steering committee consisting of 12 tennis members raised the money for the courts by canvassing the neighbourhood for firm financial commitments in the form of paid-up Family Memberships. An additional $10,000 was then raised in a co-operative effort between the Tennis Club and the Curran Hall Community Association (CHCA) through a lottery that contributed one third of the building cost of the clubhouse.
