The Capilano Tennis Club is a welcoming non-profit club founded in 1928. Located at 2500 Capilano Road in North Vancouver, the Club sits beside the spectacular Capilano River and is framed by the natural beauty of the North Shore mountains. The Club has convenient access directly from Highway 1 with on-site parking for Members and guests. Our facilities include four outdoor courts and a two-level clubhouse including kitchen, lounge, and washrooms with showers. The clubhouse opens to expansive decks that overlook the playing area and includes a BBQ and players concourse, making it ideal for gatherings, tournaments, social events, and member hospitality.
Members enjoy a full spectrum of tennis experiences that include organized social play, casual matches, tournaments, and competitive league teams. Throughout the year, the Club hosts a variety of social dinners and member celebrations that foster connection and a strong sense of community. Members also have access to one of the top tennis coaching staffs on Vancouver's North Shore, along with a range of junior programs that support skill development, match play, and the next generation of tennis players. Our Club is most active during the spring and summer seasons.
In 2028, Capilano Tennis Club will celebrate its 100th year, marking a significant milestone in our history and an opportunity for a Centenary celebration that reflects the legacy of our Members and the pride we take in being part of Vancouver's vibrant North Shore community.

Public Play (Non-Members Welcome)
Capilano Tennis Club offers designated Public Play times throughout the year for non-members to enjoy our courts.
January to June
- Monday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Tuesday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Thursday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Friday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Saturday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
July to December
- Monday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Tuesday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Thursday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Friday 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Saturday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
During designated Public Play periods all four courts are reserved for public use and public non-members have priority over members during these times. From time to time, Club tournaments, events, coaching programs, junior programming, or other Club events may require adjustments to scheduled Public Play hours. Where this occurs, alternate Public Play times will be made available.
Upcoming schedule adjustments:
- Friday, May 1: Public Play extended from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM (in place of Saturday, May 2 during Capilano Cup)
- Wednesday, May 6: Public Play from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (in place of Saturday, May 9 during Capilano Cup)
Please check the Club calendar for the most current schedule and updates. Public Play is limited to court access only. Non-members do not have access to the Clubhouse. The Public Play fee is $10 per player, per visit. Payment can be made online here.
