JOIN US AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

It may still be winter, but the tennis season will be quickly upon us. We are looking forward to having everyone back on the courts this year, and your volunteer Board of Directors is hard at work getting ready for the tennis season. We are excited about plans for the coming year and are eager to engage members in helping the Club be the best it can be.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is one way you can be involved. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. It is an opportunity to learn more about how the Almonte Tennis Club (ATC) operates; hear from the President and other Directors on the activities of the last year and plans for the next; share your ideas and hopes for the club; and gather with tennis partners off the courts.

This year, the AGM will be held on March 5th at 7 pm at the John Levi Community Centre (Hockey Arena) Upper Hall. We will be reporting on last year but also talking about much-needed improvements to our tennis facility, modernization of the systems that support club operations, membership recruitment plans, our partnership with the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA), and new program initiatives; as well as our plans to meet current and future financial needs.

The AGM is also an opportunity to elect nominees to fill any vacant volunteer board of director positions. This is an important but small part of the agenda. Please be assured that while we hope folks will volunteer to be board members, no one will be pressured at the AGM to do so.
