About the course

Age level: 16+ (must be 16 by March 2019)

This program is run in conjunction with the Toronto Leadership program. The purpose of the program is to offer certification sport-based programs to students with the goal of increasing employment opportunities. In this light, Philpott Children’s Tennis has worked closely with the City of Toronto to offer a special Tennis Leadership Program. The program consists of weekly training sessions where participants can improve both their tennis and coaching skills to prepare for the Tennis Canada instructor course in the Spring of 2019. As a part of this course, participants will also be asked to complete the following: *Volunteer for a minimum of 12 hours * complete the Fundamental Movement Skills workshop * Complete HIGH FIVE® training * Complete Emergency First Aid course Note: all additional courses will be offered for free as part of the program.
