Club Tournament Date Change.
Please note that due to conflict with other tournaments that many of you love to participate in, we have decided to change the date of our club tournament to the following:
Saturday August 27th to Sunday September 4th.
Entry deadline is Sunday August 21st.

League Hosted Dinner
The div 4 night team will be hosting their team dinner on Monday, August 15th. They will be planning an Italian menu: lasagna, meat and vegetarian, Caesar salad, tomato salad and tiramisu for dessert. Buy tickets online: Sign Up. Please ensure you purchase your tickets by Wednesday, August 10th.
League Player Reunion
These lovely ladies who played league for Capilano held their reunion at the clubhouse. The following is text that was sent to the club along with a thank you for waiving fees for this important afternoon tea occasion.
REUNION OF LEAGUE PLAYERS
A reunion of women who played league tennis for Capilano Tennis Club was held at the club on July 13th.
Twenty five ladies, some of whom played as far back as the 1960’s, attended. Some of the ladies had never been in the present club house.
Previously,from the 1930’s to the 1960’s, the club-house was a fairly large recreationcentre. That wooden building burned to the ground, and was replaced by a double-wide trailer, which was supposed to be a temporary accommodation.
Many years, and endless fund-raising, (combined by a very generous donation by Rudy Derton, a club member), finally resulted in the building of the wonderful club house.
The ladies who attended the reunion would like to thank the club for letting us have our reunion there.

There is still a need for some housing, preferably in West Vancouver, for officials who are coming in for the tournament.

Website Help
Several people have asked about accessing the new site and not sure how to find events, classes and tournaments.
Firstly, all members from the old site have been imported to the Clubspark site. You will have received an email asking you to sign in on the site and set a new password. Please note, the old password from the original site will not work.
When you need to renew your membership, simply go to the "membership" tab. You will see all of the rates there, which includes initiation fees for new members. Once you sign in there you will be recognized and the initiation fee will disappear.
All registrations for social tennis, group lessons, tournaments and social events is under the "events" tab. Simply scroll down until you find the event you wish to register for and follow the prompts. This is a secure site and payments made by credit card are safe.
Net Adjustment
Should you feel the need to adjust the net height, please use the centre strap. There is enough tension on there to either lower or raise the height. DO NOT USE THE WINCH HANDLE ON THE NET POST. Using the crank, will alter the tension on the net and in temperature changes can put undue tension on the posts, resulting in broken winches and possibly the actual net posts.
